Can You Delete Your Own Message On A Twitch Live Stream?

Unfortunately, you can’t delete your own message on a live stream chat if you are not a mod. The only thing you can do to delete your own chat messages is by using the clear command. However, this command will clear all messages from the chat. Also, even if you can delete your messages, other third party clients that act as Twitch extensions such as BetterTTV, FrankerFaceZ, and IRC may ignore the delete command, thus people can still read your messages.

If you accidentally send something you don’t mean to send in the chat like a password and there is no way you can unsend it. Therefore, make sure you triple check your messages before you hit the send button so it doesn’t contain sensitive information.
