Check Internet Connection
Now the very first thing you do is open up safari and go to google. Now type in the speed test. The first thing that you want to do is make sure that you have an internet connection. Of course, if you’re trying to log into Snapchat and you don’t have any internet then it can’t connect to the Snapchat servers. And it can’t allow you to connect to their system.
The second thing you want to do is just hit forgot your password button and then reset your password. It will send a verification code to your account in which you will be able to reset the password based on the verification code. The verification code will come in the form of an email or a text message just like any other app when you reset the password.
Offload App Or Clear the Cache
The next thing that you want to do is to head into your settings. And then you can just scroll down until you find general. Then go to iPhone storage. Now hit Snapchat and then hit offload app. The reason why you want to do this is that it resets the core system files within the app itself.
Go ahead and hit ‘reinstall app’ and this will keep all of your information, draft, messages, and everything. however, it’ll replace those core files if there is a bug in the app itself. It’ll also update it to the latest version as well.
Uninstall Unauthorized Apps and Plugins
This method is necessary if you’ve jailbroken your iPhone or your Android. It could have apps on there that Snapchat specifically doesn’t like and won’t let you use that Snapchat app with those other apps. So stop using Unauthorized Apps.
Avoid Using a VPN
If you have a VPN turned on and that VPN is giving you a connection from South Africa. Maybe they just don’t like that at that point so turn that VPN off.

How To Unlock Your Account
So you might have deleted your account or potentially be banned from Snapchat. You can’t log in because you’re banned from Snapchat. There are a couple of different ways to fix this. One is just waiting for the 24 hour lock period. But if it’s been more than 24 hours or you don’t want to wait for the 24 hours. Then you can go through these steps.
- Go to your browser and search ‘Unlock Snapchat account.’ Now tap on first the first result https://support.snapchat.com/en-US/a/locked.
This page breaks down why your account was locked in the first place. The first and major reason it was locked is because you’re using a third-party app, a plug-in, or you tweaking the app.
Snapchat hates that because these third-party apps send glitches and send advertisements to Snapchat. Which messes up their system so they ban any of those accesses.
- So what you need to do is go through and make sure you delete any of those kinds of third-party apps.
- Now either wait for 24 hours and then you’ll be able to get back into your account or follow this next step.
- Go back to your Snapchat page. Then scroll down and hit try unlocking your account. Now you have to make sure you’ve already deleted all third party apps and signed out of your Snapchat.
- It will bring you to the login page where you want to go ahead and sign in to your account. Once the screen comes up hit Unlock and then you can resign into the app and it will be working fine.
